All our hardwoods are locally sourced from managed woodland and then seasoned by us naturally……
for a minimum of 18 months. This is then cut into logs at either 8-9inches long or 12-14 inches long or we can cut to your specific requirements if needed. Only hardwood logs should be burnt as they produce more heat and less sparks. We specialize in wood for open fires and log burners. The burning of logs produces a zero carbon footprint as for all tress felled, new trees which replace them absorb the CO2 of the log burning. All our wood is high quality Ash, Beech and sometimes Sycamore and Oak.
This is why on delivery we recommend you place the logs in a log store/dry covered area with plenty of airflow. If you are stacking along a wall then only cover the top so the air can get to the stack. If storing in a garage or shed then make sure there is some ventilation i.e. a window etc
